Sting’s Pre-Academy Program is the perfect bridge between the Little Stingers program and Academy program. Alternatively, for recreational players aged U7-U8 who are motivated to increase their commitment level to soccer and accelerate skill development guided by professional coaches.
 
Pre-Academy is both fun and challenging with a curriculum built around mastering the ball and mastering the opponent. We want players to develop confidence on the ball individually and express this ability through direct, individual expression vs. an opponent. Emphasis tactically on decision making 1v1, with a teammate 2v1 and when matched up 2v2.
 
Guiding players to better understand attacking principles under such conditions. Physically players will be challenged with Speed, Agility and Quickness in soccer-specific scenarios. Let us help your player take their game to the next level and set them up for success long-term by focusing on what matters now!

Sting Lubbock South Academy offers a fun, professional, and development-focused soccer environment for boys and girls born between 2016 and 2019.

 

Our Spring 2026 program runs January 14 through May 21 at Lubbock-Cooper High School Field, with training sessions held Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30–7:30 PM. Designed for both Pre-Academy and Academy players, the program emphasizes technical skill development, confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game—guided by licensed coaches in a positive, age-appropriate setting.

 

This is the perfect pathway for young players to build strong fundamentals while representing the Sting Soccer family.
